This one-year program prepares students to enter the commercial (and residential) construction industry. Students will learn about safe work practices, construction drawings, concrete and masonry equipment, mortar, concrete formwork, concrete placement methods, concrete finishing techniques, structural concrete and masonry applications, inspection protocols, product testing, and quality control.

West-MEC programs prepare students to seek one or more industry certification or licensure in their field of study, providing a pathway to economic independence.
