PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Welding Technology program focuses on incremental levels of competency-based training to prepare students to enter the welding industry. This course will introduce the common welding processes used throughout many parts of the industry such as SMAW (Stick Welding), GMAW (MIG welding), FCAW (Flux cored arc welding), GTAW (TIG welding) and Oxy-fuel cutting.

A broad array of industry sectors such as pipeline, shipyard, power plant, buildings, bridges, and aerospace applications utilize this skill set. Upon completion of the program, students may test to receive a certification with the American Welding Society S.E.N.S.E (AWS).
