Learn how to design and create a wall or window decal using START’s vinyl cutters.
Ages: 15 and up

SUMMER CAMPS RETURNING, JUNE 2020

Due to construction and upgrades to our campuses, summer camp programming has been postponed until the summer of 2020.

ROBOTICS CAMP (AGES 9-11):


In this introduction class to robotics you will be using the VEX IQ system to design and build a robot. You will be working in partners to create a robot that you will use to compete in the Crossover Challenge. The goal of this challenge is to score as many points as possible with your alliance team in one minute. We will explore the basics of design and building for a specific task. No prior robotics experience is necessary.

MEDIA & FILM CAMP:


Students will learn how to use professional cameras, lights, and microphones and green screen technology while engaging in a mock news studio broadcast!

FORENSICS CAMP:


Students will cover some of the basics of how to investigate a crime. It will cover the recovery of latent fingerprints, Crime Scene Photography, Crime Scene Diagramming, and DNA. It will also give you a taste of what is offered at Paradise Valley High School.

SCIENCE CAMP:


Students will participate in a variety of FUN crafty science projects. With these projects, they will learn the importance of each ingredient as well as the importance of properly measuring the ingredients.

VEX IQ ROBOTICS CAMP:


The students will learn to build robots and use those robots to compete against other teams for a prize. This camp is good for all levels of experience (beginners – advanced) with VEX IQ robotics.
